Celebrate Auckland’s vibrant Indian culture at the annual Diwali Festival.
Aotea Square will come to life with the sights, sounds and flavours of India this Labour weekend on Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 October, from 12-9pm daily.
The festival is free to attend and features a variety of dance and musical performances, Indian food stalls and art & craft displays celebrating Indian culture and Auckland’s diversity. It’s the perfect event to head along to with family and friends.
Festival highlights include:
– Street food stalls showcasing delicious & authentic vegetarian Indian cuisine
– Traditional and contemporary dance and music
– The Rangoli Chalk Art Competition on Freyberg Square
– Ellen Melville Centre (Mokaa exhibition, Technology hub, DIY henna workshop and much more.)
– A grand fireworks display at 8:50 pm on Sunday night
